This website (the Site) is run by Get Hands (we, us or our). These website terms of use (Terms) apply to your use of, and access to, the Site, including its chat and booking pages. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
These Terms cover the website only. When you buy Seats or Studio, our client terms and our refund and cancellation policy apply.
Get Hands. Questions about this page: hello@gethands.com.au.
Information on the Site
- It's general information. The content and materials on the Site (Content) are general information only. Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, employment or financial advice.
- It's not an offer. Prices, plans, examples and timeframes on the Site invite you to talk to us. A contract is formed only when you sign an order form or accept our client terms. When you buy, our client terms and our refund and cancellation policy apply.
- Prices show in the currency of the market site you are viewing and exclude GST, VAT or sales tax unless we say otherwise. We may change them at any time, but that won't change the price in a contract you have already agreed.
- Examples of work on the Site under “Work by our Studio makers” are our makers' own past work for other firms, not Get Hands client projects.
We use reasonable efforts to keep the Content accurate and complete. To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), we don't warrant that the Content is accurate, complete or suitable for you, and it may change without notice. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from viruses. Spot something wrong? Tell us.
Our chat and AI
- Our website chat is answered by an AI assistant, and it tells you so. You can ask for a person at any time.
- Its answers are general information and can be wrong. They don't form a contract, change our terms or bind us to a price. A person confirms quotes and commitments in writing.
- Please don't put passwords, card numbers, health information or other sensitive details into the chat.
Our intellectual property
Unless we say otherwise, we own or license the Content and all intellectual property rights displayed or used on the Site, including copyright, designs, illustrations, artwork, trade marks, logos and domain names (Our Intellectual Property). That includes our role profiles, levels, tests and pricing tables.
You may view the Site, and print or download Content for your own business use, as long as you keep any copyright notice. You must not use the Site or the Content to compete with our business. Otherwise, you must not:
- copy or use any of Our Intellectual Property, in whole or in part;
- reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or broadcast any of Our Intellectual Property; or
- alter it, frame or embed it in another website, or create derivative works from it.
You may share links to the Site and post our Content on your social media or blog, as long as you don't claim to own it, don't suggest we endorse you (unless we have agreed in writing), and don't use it in a way that is unlawful, unfair, misleading or deceptive or that damages our reputation.
The names and logos of other companies' tools on the Site belong to their owners. We show them to say which tools our people use. It doesn't mean those companies endorse us.
Conduct we don't accept
You must not do, or try to do, anything unlawful or inappropriate, or that might bring us or the Site into disrepute. This includes:
- breaching anyone's privacy or other legal rights;
- using the Site to defame, harass, threaten or offend anyone;
- trying to get unauthorised access to the Site, our apps, or other people's accounts or data;
- tampering with or interfering with the Site, or sending viruses or other harmful code;
- using robots, scrapers or similar tools to copy or harvest Content or data from the Site, or to train AI models, without our written permission;
- contacting our talent through the Site, or through information found on it, to engage them outside Get Hands;
- pretending to be someone else, or giving us false information;
- using the Site to send spam or unsolicited messages; or
- helping anyone else to do any of these things.
We may suspend or block access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have broken these rules.
What you send us
When you send us something through the Site (such as an enquiry, a brief, a CV, a portfolio or feedback), you confirm you have the right to share it, and that sharing it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break the law. You let us use it to reply to you and to provide our services, and you let us use your feedback to improve them without owing you anything. We publish a review or testimonial only with your permission.
Other websites and services
The Site links to, and loads tools from, websites run by others, such as our booking calendar and chat providers. Unless we say otherwise, we don't control, endorse or approve them and are not responsible for their content. Check they suit you before you use them. If you buy from a third-party website, that third party supplies you, not us.
Our liability is limited
You may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or other laws, that can't be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits them, and you can contact us to find out more.
Apart from those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage of any kind (including consequential loss, indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of reputation), whether under statute, contract, equity, tort (including negligence), indemnity or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the Site or the Content.
Privacy
We respect your privacy. Our privacy policy sets out how we collect and handle personal information, and our cookie policy covers cookies and browser storage.
If we change or close the Site
We may change or discontinue the Site (in whole or in part), or stop anyone from using it, at any time and without notice.
Which laws govern these Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts that hear appeals from them, and waives any right to object to proceedings being brought there.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms at any time by publishing the new version on the Site, with a new date. Please check them from time to time.
