Hire people who don't need managing.

I'm Simon Diamond. For 10 years I've built my businesses with people who own the work. Get Hands puts them on your team, tested before you meet them. Not right in week one? You pay nothing for that week.

Why I started Get Hands

I've run businesses for about 10 years. Some of the best people I've worked with were in the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka and Peru. They learned fast, needed telling once, and said "let me build a solution for you".

Australia works about 12 hours a day. A team in another time zone can work the other 12. We hand work between them in one loop, so the same day gets two to three times the work done.

I'm on the owner's side

Owners carry the wages, the super, the leave, the WorkCover, the tools and the training, and every risk in between. I know, because I carry them too. Get Hands takes the employment off your hands. If someone isn't the right fit, we replace them, and it never becomes personal.

Who we're for

I built Get Hands for owners with a vision who want it done properly and fast. My job is to bridge that vision to reality. We work best with people who decide and move.

How I choose people

I look for people who own the work, not people who log hours. They see what matters, plan it and push it forward. They stay steady under pressure and get it right the first time. A bargain hire who has to do it twice costs you 10 times over.

How we work

When something goes wrong, the business has usually got nine things wrong first: the training, the steps, the urgency, the support. So we fix the system, not just the person. I stand behind every person we place, and I won't hand you work I'd have to defend.

How you do anything is how you do everything. A teacher taught me that early, and it's the standard Get Hands runs on.

You get me directly. I answer my own phone and reply to every email myself.

A level set by a skills test

  1. Intern

Clear, repeatable work: data entry, inbox rules, scheduling, research.

Paid, tested and placed full-time or part-time. Not an unpaid internship.

  2. Intermediate

Owns a workflow: admin, customer support, accounts assistance, social media.

  3. Expert

Owns outcomes: executive assistants, account managers, senior designers.

  4. Specialist

Developers, designers and marketers who lead projects with little direction.

A skills test for each role
Each role in our library has a written skills test, tool tests and work samples. Levels are defined by what a person can do on their own, not by years on a CV: Intern, Intermediate, Expert and Specialist.
