How it works
Step 1: Tell us about the business
A short form: your details, then theirs. You choose your reward as you go.
Step 2: We get in touch, by hand
A person at Get Hands contacts them once, and only because you said they expect to hear from us.
Step 3: They become a client
They meet a shortlist, or start Studio, on the usual published prices.
Step 4: You get your reward
Once they have paid for their first month, we apply the reward you chose within 30 days and email you.

The terms, in plain words
The short version of the fine print. If anything is unclear, ask before you refer.

- Who can refer
- Anyone. You do not have to be a client.
- A new client only
- The business must be new to Get Hands: not a client now, and not already talking to us. If two people refer the same business, the first referral we receive counts. You cannot refer a business you own, run or work for.
- The reward
- One reward for each new client. You choose when you send the form: US$200 account credit, or one free month of Studio (the Studio Minimum plan, 10 hours, worth US$990). You cannot have both.
- When you get it
- After the new client has paid for their first month of Seats or Studio. A Test Drive on its own does not count. We apply your reward within 30 days of that first paid month, and email you when we do.
- How many
- No limit. Each new client you refer earns one reward.
- Never cash
- A reward is not money. Credit comes off your future Get Hands invoices. It cannot be paid out, refunded, sold or passed to someone else, and the free month cannot be swapped for cash.
- Credit expiry
- Account credit expires 12 months after it is earned (the new client's first paid month). Credit not used by then lapses.
- If you are not a client yet
- We keep your reward against your name and apply it when you start with us. Credit still expires 12 months after it is earned.
- Their details
- Only refer a business that knows you are passing on its details and is happy to hear from us. We contact it once, by phone or email, and stop if it says no. We use its details only for that, as our Privacy Policy says.
- No reward when
- The referral is not genuine, or the new client is refunded or charges back its first payment. We decide, and we tell you why.
- Changes
- We can change or end this program. A referral we have already accepted keeps these terms.

We do. Get Hands engages every person and supplies them to you, so you're not their employer and there's no payroll on your side. You get one monthly bill.

Security and data
You do. Everything we make for you is yours: the files, the designs, the copy and the code. Your files stay in your systems, and we work in your accounts.

No. Anyone can refer a business. If you are not a client yet, we keep your reward against your name and apply it when you start.
